Who we are
SOLVR (“SOLVR”, “we”, “us”) operates this website and the SOLVR crime investigation app. Contact: privacy@solvr.store.
What we collect
- Account data: email address and optional display name.
- Purchase data: which case files you bought, when, the amount, and an opaque payment reference from our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
- Investigation state: for each case you play — which suspects you questioned, which clues unlocked, which evidence you pinned, your accusations, and the verdict. This makes resume-and-replay possible.
- Interrogation transcripts: the questions you ask AI suspects and the responses they generate. Stored against your run so the fact ledger and debrief work correctly.
- Reviews: the ratings and short notes you leave on a case. Visible to other investigators alongside your display name.
- Anonymous usage events: high-level events like “case viewed”, “checkout started”, “verdict resolved”. Used to understand product flow and detect breakage.
- Operational logs: standard request logs from our hosting provider (timestamp, IP, user agent), retained for security and debugging.
What we do not collect
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not run third-party advertising or marketing trackers.
- We do not use your interrogation transcripts to train external AI models. Transcripts are passed to our AI provider only to answer that specific suspect prompt and are not retained by the provider for training under the contract we use.
- We do not record your microphone, camera, or screen.
Why we process your data
- To provide the service you paid for (legal basis: contract).
- To process payments, issue receipts, and meet tax obligations (legal basis: contract and legal obligation).
- To send transactional emails — receipts, expiry warnings, reactivation reminders (legal basis: contract / legitimate interest).
- To detect abuse, debug issues, and improve the product (legal basis: legitimate interest).
Who we share data with
Limited, necessary processors only:
- Payment processor for handling card charges and storing card details (we never see them).
- Hosting and database provider for running the app, storing your account, your purchases, and your run state.
- AI provider for generating suspect dialogue in real time.
- Email provider for transactional email delivery.
These processors are bound by data-processing agreements. We do not share your data with anyone else without your consent unless legally required.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open. Deleted on request.
- Purchase records: retained for the period required by tax law (typically 7 years).
- Run state: kept while the case is in your Library. Archived when the case expires; deleted when you delete your account.
Your rights
You can request a full export, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@solvr.store. You can delete your own account from the Account page; this removes your profile, runs, and personally identifiable data, while keeping the minimum purchase record required by law.
EU/EEA and UK residents additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with their national data-protection authority.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage entries to keep you logged in and remember your TV-mode preference. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies.
Children
SOLVR is intended for adult groups. Cases cover serious crimes — murder, fraud, and other grave offences — and carry content notes accordingly. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we materially change this policy we will notify users by email and post the new version with the updated date above.
